We are the London Chapter of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), an international body that has been in existence since 1969. Our own Chapter, the first in the UK, was established in 1981. Other UK Chapter now includes Northern England, Central England, and Scotland, and there is also an Ireland Chapter.
London Chapter has over 2,500 members who come from a wide cross-section of business including the accountancy and information systems professions, central and local government, the banking, manufacturing and service sectors and academia.
30 June 2011 Technical event: COBIT 5 will soon arrive, are you ready?
Brief overview: COBIT 5 will bring together and consolidate ISACAs frameworks and much of the extensive supporting resources available to IT professionals. The session will
1. Provide a brief introduction to COBIT and where it is positioned.
2. Examine IT Governance and its supporting mechanisms.
3. Consider the underlying principles of Val IT and Risk IT
4. Where and how to make a start?
Parts 2 and 3 will be interactive to provide delegates the opportunity to "test drive". Part 4 will walk through a case study.
